The Importance of a Squeeze Page

Comments are off for this post.
A squeeze page is a most important part of your business. It is central to your ability to build a list and create subscribers and followers who get your emails each day. Sometimes folks ask, why not just have a sign up form on my blog? If you have a blog with 1000 posts and you are getting tons of visitors from google and facebook and so on  . . . sure, just use a sign up form on your blog. But . . . my guess is that’s not the case! So . . . you need a squeeze […]

Visual Depiction of Membership Site Structure

A fellow member created a picture of a sample membership structure, and I was so impressed I wanted to share it. If you are struggling to visualize your membership structure, I believe this might help:

Adding Training Content to Your Membership

Comments are off for this post.
Now that you have your membership created, it might be like a shell now: it might just have a domain name, membership software and possibly a few posts. And that’s okay. All you need to start your membership is a few lessons – if that. Seriously, I started THIS training center (which is a membership, of course) with about 3 lessons on day 1. Now, I furiously wrote lessons for several weeks until I had the step by step components covered (and of course, as I write this, I am writing another one) And you can do the same thing […]

How to Write Your Membership Sales Letter

Comments are off for this post.
At this point, you have your membership created, and you’ve listened to the training about writing the presell campaign, along with some other tidbits on that lesson. As you know, I’m creating this live as we go (and you can see how easy it is to just add a lesson every few days, you can do it too) In the long run, I’ll probably re-time the lessons so future clients get this lesson BEFORE the preselling emails lesson. But this is how they are now! Writing your membership sales letter doesn’t have to be perfect, or hard, or confusing. And […]

How to Write a Pre-Selling Email Campaign for Your Membership

Comments are off for this post.
This lesson is a bit different than the preceding ones . . . I taught it as a live training, and I not only teach you how to write a pre-selling email campaign for your membership, but I also give you an update on THIS training center, progress, some discussion about what’s coming next, and so on. If you weren’t on the call live, I highly recommend you listen to ALL of it: Recording of live training: How to Write a Pre-Selling Email PLUS Notes and Discussion Etc Sean

Memberships to Look At

This is an interruptor lesson, like a commercial break. It’s not fully fleshed out. I may take it down or move it somewhere else over time. But I think it might be helpful. I think that sometimes folks have a pre-conceived notion of what a “membership” should look like, based on what they’ve personally seen. So if you’ve only seen one idea of a membership site – THAT’S your notion – or maybe your notion is to do “anything but what you’ve seen” which may or may not be a great idea. So I want to share with you a […]

Choose Membership Software Part 3

Ok, we’re finally here . . . I’m going to give you a few top suggestions: (I’ve used links to Chris Lema’s reviews so you can quickly cut to the chase about features) Wishlist Member  (I’ve personally used wishlist member and found it was really easy to use) Fastmember (I haven’t used this one, but has just about every feature we’ve discussed and is easy to use) Restrict Content Pro is easy to use as well, but doesn’t make drip and concurrent accounts easy) Now, with wordpress as your platform, those are probably my top 3 solutions. However, if you […]

Choose Membership Software Part 2

By now you’ve compared several membership software solutions and hopefully are now deciding which to use. Before we do, you also probably know that different ones have different benefits – there’s no perfect software. Generally there’s a tradeoff between easy to use and customizable. Easy to use and options. And I’m going to be really careful as I make recommendations. These are ONLY to keep you from delaying by days and weeks or months in trying to decide on your own. So before I give you my “short list,” please know this: if you already have a favorite – that’s […]

Choose Membership Software Part 1

At this point, you’ve uploaded wordpress on your website, and the next step is to choose membership software. Note: if you’ve done this before, you might be wondering . . . what about a theme? This is one of those things we could have done next . . . but it is also something that might slow down the process of you getting up and running quickly. So, if you are familiar with themes, have one you like, or can make a quick decision, sure, go ahead with a theme. If not, let’s get the membership component up and running […]

Upload WordPress

Now that you have a domain name and web hosting, your next step is to upload wordpress. I’m not going to include directions here, because your web host should have directions for how to upload word press to THEIR hosting solution. Just follow those directions! Once done, you’ll be ready for the next 2 steps: 1) choosing a theme for your wordpress membership site 2) choosing membership software for your membership site And I’ll plan on giving you easy options for both of those in the next 2 lessons   Sean
