Sometimes people ask me “How much information should I give away in a free download?” My response is, as much as you want to. You don’t need to hold anything back in the free download. Here’s the thing, if you only know 45 minutes’ worth of information in your niche, you probably haven’t earned the right to teach people at a higher level, or to have a coaching program. If you have a 20-hour training program that goes into great depth, you’re still limited by only sharing 45 minutes of all of that information in your free download. So you […]

Let’s say someone views a landing page, then our opt-in page (if it’s different than their initial landing page), and then they view the thank-you page immediately after. They view an immediate offer. And then they read 10 emails over the next 10 days. They read 3 different offers from you. They read various content emails. They read various sales emails. They may listen to you or watch you on a video. They may listen to an audio. The theme, the content, the topic, and the emotional tone, all the way through all of those elements needs to remain the […]

Free products are essential to any IM business. For one thing, people expect to get them. There is so much free information on the Web that if you don’t offer something beyond what they can discover with a cursory search, then your visitors will simply go elsewhere. But there is another reason why you must give them a free product, and that’s because it’s a way for them to discover if you’’re right for them. They have a problem. They need someone to help them solve it. They’ve come to your website, probably as the result of seeing some of […]

Lead magnets are an indispensable part of your business. They are something that Web surfers have come to expect: their email address for your lead magnet – your free product. The purpose, of course, is to persuade people to part with their email addresses. It’s a process commonly referred to as list building. But there’s a technique for speeding up the list building process without overtly attracting more traffic. It’s a way of get your new subscribers to do it for you; and done properly, it can create a lot more visitors than you would normally get. It’s called the […]

After free content in the wider Web, lead magnets are the next step to getting people onto your list. It’s a milestone when you can get prospects interested enough in you to visit your site. It means that you’ve struck a chord with them, and now they want to learn more about you. Of course, everyone is doing it, and that means that what you offer has to be better than everyone else. One way to do that is to make it easy to use. The need to gain the value it offers as quickly as possible. There are two […]

While it’s important to create lead magnets that people can’t live without and in a form that will be easy for them to obtain the promised benefit as quickly as possible, it’s equally important that you learn how to create them efficiently. This is especially true if you’re a solopreneur. You may have honed the fine art of delegation, but you’re simply moving your tasks from one side of your desk to the other, then you have a problem. You have to find a way to do it all. The central problem is that those products with the highest perceived […]

Product funnels change over time. They have to. If yours doesn’t, then it’s probably out of date. It probably has products in it that no longer sell as they once did, and your revenue is likely to be considerably lower than it once was. Healthy product funnels are constantly being rejuvenated. As the needs of prospects change, so must your products if they are to continue to solve the problems that they have. But as your funnel changes, so must your free product. The two must remain consistent with each other. And seems to happen is that they get out […]

We generally focus on the email campaign because that’s where the money is – but you need to evaluate your landing page so that it’s properly targeting the people that you can fulfill a need for. You need to evaluate and ensure that your squeeze page is not so hyped up that you’re getting the lowest common denominator to sign up. When you go for targeted leads versus people that are going to sign up because they want anything free, you always have fewer people in your list, but it’s a targeted list and will make you the most money.
